Laila at 6 months old!

Earlier this month we had a friend of friend, I guess you could say, take some photographs of our family. Laila had just turned 6 months old a few days before. We hadn't taken any professional looking photos up to this point, so we thought this would be a great time to do it right before Christmas so that we could give some pictures of Laila to our family and possibly get a Christmas card out of them. We didn't know how well Laila would cooperate, but the photographer was running a special and we liked her style so we figured we couldn't go wrong. Emily Anderson, the photographer, did a wonderful job. We were so pleased with the way they turned out. Laila wasn't all smiles that day, probably because she missed her morning nap and she was too busy checking out the new place, but she was a trooper as usual and Emily still got some good ones of her. More pics from our NC trip in October

Some of you may remember from an earlier blog that we went to North Carolina in October with our good friends, The Moss Family. I recently got the copies of the pictures that John took on his camera. They turned out awesome so I had to share some. There are so many great ones of landscape views, etc., but I just picked out a view of my favorites of us. Laila is about 4 months in these pictures and Isaac is around 7 months. Hope you don't mind me sharing your pictures John...you are a great photographer. Hopefully I can learn more from you one day...thanks for all the tips you try to teach me! I really hope I can get a camera like yours one day!

Daddy loves his Lady Noles!!!

Even though Nate is a Gator fan, he loves his Lady Noles! If you didn't already know, when it comes to college football, we have a little family feud going on. On FSU vs. FL Game Day, Nate cheers for the Gators and Joy cheers for the Seminoles. Laila is a little too young to decide which team she will cheer for yet, but Mommy sure does think she looks pretty in FSU colors (even though she really does look beautiful in anything!!!). This year Mommy got her in a Baby Nole onesie. Mommy is not going to dress her in any Gator gear, but it is in her closet and Daddy is welcome to put it on her if he wants! :) The same feud goes throughout most of our family. It seems that the majority lean towards the Gators these days, but Mommy is still loyal to her Noles, even when they are the underdogs!

This year for Game Day, unfortunately Daddy had to work during some of it, but Mommy and Laila hung out with Aunt Holly and Scooter. Since Aunt Holly went to UF for college, she is a Gator fan. Scooter was a dog divided since he was watching the game with both FL and FSU fans. Even though it turned out to be a tough game for Mommy to watch, there is always hope for next year!

Laila's 1st Thanksgiving!

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving this year with Laila here! It was so nice to not have to drive 4 hours to see everyone! Even though we ate twice and were stuffed by the end of the day...it was a very relaxing Thanksgiving! We didn't get to see everyone this year, but we are so thankful for the time we got to spend with family. God has given us so much and we are extremely grateful! This year we are most thankful for our beautiful daughter, Laila Grace. She truly has brought so much joy into our lives. It has only been 6 months so far, but we are loving every minute of watching her grow up.
