The 4th of July!

We had a great time celebrating Independence Day this year with family! We spent the day at my grandparents River House on the St. Johns River and even took a boat ride to Blue Springs to cool off for a little while. Later that night, we drove over to Lake Monroe in Sanford and enjoyed the fireworks show there. It turned out to be a fun and relaxing day and Laila seemed to have a blast!

Walking!

Laila was officially a walker at 1 year, 3 weeks old. She is so proud of herself, and we are so proud of her too! She wants to walk everywhere now, and if she falls, she'll just get right back up and keep going. Our baby girl is a toddler now and growing up too fast!

On another note, her 3rd tooth (which is also the first tooth to come thru on top) has FINALLY cut thru! It actually looks like there are a couple teeth coming thru on the top. She has been a slow teether compared to some of her friends her same age, but hopefully now she'll start catching up a bit (not that it matters much any way though!)

Grandpa Lail

Since we are crashing at Grandpa and Grammy Lail's house for the time being, Laila has been spending a lot of time with her Papa lately! She loves him! Papa is one of her favorite words now too! Here are some recent pictures of their time together!
